Tauk in Montauk promises to be a heavenly little boutique. On their site you can also see their interior design work... I want to move into this charming space! (That's the light fixture of my dreams!) http://www.taukmontauk.com
"Today I awoke from a sound sleep with curses of joy on my lips, with gibberish on my tongue, repeating to myself like a litany--'Fay ce que vouldras!...fay ce que vouldras!' Do anything, but let it produce joy. Do anything, but let it yield ecstasy."
-Henry Miller. Tropic of Cancer.
Had a fantastic summer adventure with a friend on Sauvie's Island... Went berry picking and got delicious cartons of raspberries, marionberries and blueberries. Laid on the beach and stuck our feet in the water... Came back home pleasantly sunburned and made amazing berry shakes with soy ice cream! Can't wait to go back again!
My all-time favorite artist, the notoriously mysterious Ray Johnson. I also love documentaries and there is a great one about him called "How to Draw a Bunny." Watch it!
Went on a really long walk with Laura, her dog Moo and her parents two dog's Sadie and Simon. We headed up Mt. Tabor which is always such a pretty walk. I loved that the wild sweet pea was growing all over the place, it's one of my favorite flowers. We sat out in the sun by the reservoir for a while and it was so peaceful, there was hardly anybody else up there. Topped the evening off with some delicious snacks at Por Que No. Every time I hang out with those dogs I want a little Australian Shepard of my own!
I have been a following Jessica Williams' work for years and love the new direction of her work. She's a multi-media artist working in drawing, photography and collage.
